Amenities
The
main house at Middle Bay Farm includes
four large guestrooms, a dining room, parlor and beautiful
front porch to relax on. Every
morning, a full breakfast is served in the dining room or on
the porch, which overlooks the water. A typical breakfast might
include fresh melons and strawberries, cheddar and mushroom baked
eggs,
savory sausage and Maine blueberry muffins. Cereals, juices and coffee/tea
are available early in the morning.
In-season, the porch
is not only a beautiful spot to enjoy breakfast, but also a good
place to read or just relax. Wicker furniture, rocking chairs,
and a porch
swing recall a more leisurely pace of bygone times.
There are a piano
and fireplace in the parlor for your enjoyment, as well as a comfortable
couch and chairs for reading the morning paper. Off the parlor
there is a guest closet with reading material, board games, puzzles,
loaner videos and literature about Maine. The guest closet also
has a small refrigerator with soft drinks and ice. Other refreshments,
such as cake or cookies, are always available as well.
Cottage
Suites
Each of the two suites
features two
small bedrooms with enough room for a double size bed
with a small bureau and hooks for a closet. The living
area includes an L-shaped couch composed of two single mattresses, cable TV and dining table with chairs. Puzzles, cards and board games are stored
in the
chest and videos are available to borrow in the parlor closet
in the main house. The kitchenette comes
with a full size refrigerator. A toaster, microwave oven,
hot plate,
and coffee maker are available for limited meal or snack preparation.
A full breakfast, including entrée, cereal, fruit, and
muffins or coffee cake is provided in the morning in the dining
room of the main house. (On a weekly or monthly basis, no breakfast
is provided.) Each suite also features a newly renovated private
bathroom with old-fashioned bead board on the walls,
terracotta tiled floors and white tiled shower/tubs. A long wrap-around porch equipped
with chairs, benches and a table, provides the opportunity to
relax and enjoy a close-up
view of Middle Bay and the wildlife accompanying the changing
tides.
